We may find the Carbajal Peak about 14 km (9 mi) left from Ushuaia by Route 3 heading northeast. The summit is 950 m high with spectacular views of the same name valley, Tierra Mayor Valley and surrounding peaks.

The start of the trekking is through the valley that leads to the Turquesa lagoon,  and before reaching to it turn east. We must go over the edge that surround the lagoon and gain altitude heading west until reaching a col. Once there you must take the path to the summit by scree slope. The way back may be by the same place or by the direct route but with more slope toward the road.
